Abstract:

The main idea of this research was to evaluat the effects of concentration and time of exposure the Cypermethrin Toxin on the gill tissue of Black Fish (Capoeta damascina). In order to do this research, the Black Fishes that where used gathered from Kordan River of Karaj and their average weight was 150 gr and their average length was 12 cm. the fish used in 4 treatments (0.25, 0.5, 0.75 mg/lit and a control group) and 3 replication that exposed to lethal doses of Cypermethrin toxin. Sampling of fish gill was conducted in the first, 5th and 10th day of the experiment. In this study injuries such as hyperplasia of gill secondary lamella apical cells ،epithelial lifting secondary lamella، mucous cell hyperplasia in primary lamella, fusion, shortening the secondary lamella، and aneurism were observed with different severity in various treatments. The results showed that with increasing toxin concentration and time of exposure fishes to the toxic, more injured fishes gill tissue.

Effects of sub-acute cypermethrin on some hematological parameters of Capoeta damascina (Valenciennes, 1842)

In the present study, we investigated the effects of a sub-acute concentration of cypermethrin on some hematological parameters of Capoeta damascina. The specimens had an average weight of 150 ± 10 g and average length of 21 ± 1 cm (mean ± SD). The fish were exposed to 0, 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75 µg/L (each with 3 replicates) for 10 days. Blood samples were collected on days 1, 5 and 9. Hemoglobin (...

Growth and reproductive biology of Capoeta damascina (Valenciennes, 1842) from a tributary of Tigris

Growth and reproductive attributes were determined for Capoeta damascina, an endemic fish species from west of Iran. A total of 147 specimens of both sexes were sampled monthly from November 2008 to October 2009. The overall sex ratio was female biased. Males were aged 0-4 years and females 0-5 years. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters were estimated as Linf=34.81 cm, k=0.27 year-1, t0=-0.65...
